Our Vision and Mission

OUR VISION

FOCODEV envisions united, productive and empowered communities which will be major pillars in the economic and social development of the Wum municipality, the broader Menchum Division and ultimately Cameroon.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote common initiatives in support of access to basic health services, education, provision of portable drinking water and sanitation, and promotion of children’s and women’s rights as a vibrant development model in addressing the socio-economic needs of the communities of Menchum division and the country at large. Our focus is on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)3,4,5,8

Our GOALS

Providing strategic leadership in the advocacy of innovative models to achieve sustained solidarity and improved socio-economic development in our communities.
Playing an important role in the management of programs and projects and helping communities engage and succeed in projects.
Developing and promoting social and economic approaches and systems, based on the local experiences and relevant current theories, which will enable communities to help themselves and sustain efforts in development projects.
Designing and implementing initiatives for rural communities to improve the wellbeing of their people.
Assessing and building capacities to effectively participate in identifying and responding to community issues and problems through community-based efforts.

OUR OBJECTIVES

The mission of FOCODEV is to promote common initiatives in support of access to basic health services, provision of safe drinking water and sanitation, and promotion of children and women rights as a vibrant development model in addressing social and economic needs of disadvantage communities.

Fostering good social relationships and responsible citizenship among members of the community.
Engaging social groups, traditional leaders, and officials in participatory policy and strategy formulation in improving social and economic well-being.
Initiating, organizing and implementing targeted projects and programs to address problems affecting our communities.
Educating and training groups or individuals on proactive approaches within the framework of participatory, sustainable self-development.
Identifying and mapping projects to the communities based on assessment of needs, how the communities are responding, and their achievements.
Promoting community level engagement and access to basic social services for the poorest members of society.
Organizing outreach programs to educate the community on problems, their effects, possible mitigating measures and practical solutions.

Our Plan

All donations will go to support 3 main problems: food, education, health. Our project is working with troubled kids in Africa more than 5 years and we’ve achieved great successes.
